A Piece Everyone Should Listen To: Waloyo Yamoni composed by Christopher Tin. It’s a full orchestra piece that uses lyrics from a Lango rainmaking litany which I think is just gorgeous. Check it out on YouTube, as I think it’s a better recording than on Spotify or Apple Music.

Fun Fact: I have been playing piano since I was 4.

Favourite Composer: Carl Maria von Weber - He just has so much iconic clarinet repertoire that are must-knows for any fan of the clarinet.

A Piece Everyone Should Listen To: The Witch and the Saint by Steven Reineke! It's been one of my favourite concert band pieces ever since I first heard it in high school, but never got to play it until I joined HHSB.

Fun Fact: I research the heart!

Favourite Composer: Frédéric Chopin - Chopin is well-known for his piano pieces during the romantic era that mix delicate techniques with melodies full of emotion, and I especially love the colour he brings to his pieces with his expressive dynamics, which quickly draw the audience into his music.

A Piece Everyone Should Listen To: Czardas - by Vittorio Monti. This is a song that I love listening to again and again. With its slow, expressive rhythms in the beginning followed by a speedy passage running up and down the music score, it really gives a full and dramatic roller coaster ride throughout this piece.

Fun Fact: I've been volunteering weekly with my local scout group for 6 years, starting my 7th soon.​
